ABOUT US
At CDO Audio, our decades of hands-on experience in content development mean we’re not guessing our way through strategy. We’ve lived the wins, learned from the missteps, and evolved with the industry. From working with national media brands to bestselling authors, we’ve developed content that informs, inspires, and delivers results. When we partner with you, we bring practical wisdom—not just frameworks—and walk with you every step of the way to craft stories that truly connect.

PRICING
Look, there are marketplaces where you can obtain affordable editing services, we’ll even point you to them. We are ideal for brands and busy professionals looking for end to end help. We price our services competitively, taking into account market pricing and can generally adapt to the client’s budget. While others focus on volume of clients and outsource, we keep our client roster small so that we can stay personally involved in all aspects of our projects.

BLOG
It goes without saying—we’re passionate about the creative process. Not long ago, content creation was controlled by big corporations that owned the means of production and distribution. Today, the landscape is completely different. Anyone with something worth sharing has access to countless platforms, each with built-in audiences eager to listen.
But with so many choices, where do you begin? Which tools can you trust? That’s where we come in. We do the research so you can focus on creating—and we share our insights here, so you can grow alongside us.

Keep up with the trends

The future of podcast payments. At the latest Editors’ Podcast Summit, held in June, there was debate on how creators can finance their shows. John Shields, from The Economist, recalled that their podcasts began as a marketing tool, but the vision of their editor-in-chief steered them toward a subscription model. Jamie East, from DMG Media, stressed that audiences only pay for content perceived as premium, such as true crime in The Crime Desk. Meanwhile, cases like the Ghost Huns podcast show that fan communities also support creators through events and merchandise. Naomi Mellor, panel moderator, concluded that willingness to pay is growing and could become a common practice in the industry.
A failed experiment with AI. Podcaster Stephen Robles attempted to develop a podcast app for iPhone using only ChatGPT-5, as he shared on beard.fm. Despite previously creating a simple app, the new project failed due to AI’s struggles with integration, debugging, and maintaining context. Robles noted that the tool is useful for generating code snippets, but not for building complex software like a full player. The case highlights current limitations of artificial intelligence and reinforces the need for human expertise in app development.
A decisive year for radio and podcasting. The third wave of the 2024 General Media Study (EGM) marked a milestone by integrating streaming for the first time. The hybrid system combines census audiometers and recall, and is already preparing measurement for on-demand radio and podcasts. The report also shows that live radio is regaining listeners, Spain is emerging as a key podcast market, and platforms like Spotify, iVoox, and Atresmedia are strengthening their audio bets. The sector is moving toward a digital future with more innovation, new metrics, and the challenge of maintaining trust in traditional media.
Fünkol arrives to transform influencer-audience relationships. A Colombian startup launched the first platform that allows creators and experts to charge for messages, emails, and video calls, according to its founder Luis Londoño. The app aims to help content creators in the country monetize their time and knowledge directly. Users receive personalized responses within 24 hours, while creators earn recurring income without relying on brands or algorithms. Fünkol plans to expand to Mexico and the United States this year and close 2026 with more than 80,000 registered users.
Artificial Intelligence
AI and broken links: a growing risk. A study of 16 million URLs reveals that ChatGPT and other AI assistants generate more 404 pages than Google. ChatGPT is the top offender, with 2.38% nonexistent links.
OpenAI strengthens ChatGPT’s safety for minors. The company announces parental controls and partnerships with experts and doctors to oversee minors’ activity. The goal is for AI to contribute to wellbeing and mental health, adapting models to the context of each conversation.
