A Street Named Heritage
Have you ever wondered about the inspiration behind our name, CDO Audio?
It pays homage to our roots, specifically Calle 5 de Octubre in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico—the very street where Melvin Rivera took his first breath. This charming town and its people were the earliest champions of our co-founder and mentor. «C» for Cinco, «D» for de, and «O» for Octubre—our studio name encapsulates the essence of our origin story.

Pictured here is the house where Melvin grew up, and where Aracely spent her summers. In the past, it even housed a humble storefront where great-grandmother Marcela, who couldn’t read or write, still managed to keep meticulous books of her business.
